I’ve been using this supplement for about 3 years and I got to say this is one hell of a protein shake. I mainly use this supplement in my bulking phase. If I don’t reach my macros through food, then at the end of the day I would replace them anytime with this protein shake. It’s high in carbohydrates, proteins, and calories making me putting on some extra weight. I’m a hard gainer; my metabolism runs fast, so this protein shake really helped me tremendously over the past years. The mixture of this supplement does not blend perfectly, however, it can be fix. There will be chunks when you blend this supplement which is displeasing, to fix that, what I like to do is add a small amount of hot water into the powder, mix it until all chunks are broken down, and then I add my favorite beverage mixing the two together. As for flavors, they are pretty good. My favorite flavors are chocolate and cookies-n-cream, they are tasty and easy for me to consume. Price range is not too bad, there are a lot of supplements out there selling for high prices. For a price of $48 for a 6lb tub of protein, It’s good and it’s not too shabby.

Here are my dislikes for this supplement:
I knocked 1 point off because this supplement makes me feel really bloated and I don’t like that feeling. For example, after a workout I would take this supplement right away and a couple of minutes later; I would feel super full as if I ate 2 whole bowls of food in one sitting. Another reason why I knock 1 point off is because I’m getting horrible expulsion of intestinal gas (really bad farts) that makes me rush to the bathroom for a number 2 (if you know what I mean lol). However, this protein shake really helps me put on the extra weight when I’m bulking. Thus, I will continue to use this supplement in the long run.

That’s it for today! Stay tune for more blogs as I will discuss about other supplements I have tried.

If you have any questions about this supplement and you’re curious about it, feel free to comment or message me through my email and I will answer them as accurate as possible from my own experience.

Rest Days

Training hard and lifting heavy is crucial for a lean and sculptured body in bodybuilding, but there are some days where you just need to rest. Rest days are important for the body to recover. If you’re sore from your training, reward your body with a rest day. I encounter many people who trained everyday 7days a week and won’t give themselves a break and wondered why they’re not making a lot of growth. Muscle recovers when you sleep and it’s critical for your muscles and CNS (central nervous system) to rest so it can grow and repair, and in addition, it will give you more strength in your workouts. Not only that you’re resting the body but also your mind; get a good sleep and reward yourself from the hard work you’ve put your body and mind into. There is one method I like to do when repairing my muscles before bed time and that is taking protein over night. I recommend taking some protein before going to bed because that extra protein will work its way in the body and replenish your muscles overnight as you sleep – this method will help your muscles recover much quicker. Train hard and rest easy and peacefully! I hope these tips helps you as I end off this blog with a quote.
