Don’t give up and keep putting in the work

Don't give up and keep putting in the work

Earlier today, I was discussing with my great friend of mine about our progress with our goals. We came to a conclusion that no matter what, you must put in work towards your goals to be successful. This is true to any goals, if you want to build the best physique for yourself, you have to keep putting in work with yourself and at the gym. If you want to be wealthy, you have to keep putting work with your business. There is no such thing as get ripped quick or get rich quick. Everything takes time and work. You will have days where you will be disappointments with your progress. And you will have days where there will be great improvements with your progress. No matter what the circumstances are, keep going and don’t give up. There are no doubt that you will struggle (maybe even hard), however, there will be times you will succeed and get the best results that you wanted. But it’s the journey to your goals that counts. Always remind yourself what your goals are and keep putting in your work. Whether it’s business, fitness, or what other primary goals you set – Always put in your work. Keep in mind, love your passion and enjoy the growth and process along your journey.

For those who are lifting/exercising, keep training, you will build that perfect physique of yours.

Don’t delay and GO!

Don't delay and GO!

I love this photo when it comes to fitness goals. This photo also speaks with other non related fitness goals such as, a business goal you want to accomplish, or a goal you plan on doing before the year ends – it could be anything. Your first step is what starts your journey, don’t stop all of a sudden because “your results are slow” or “you’re not getting any results,” it happened to me before – Just keep going.

For example, before I got back from blogging, I put my blog on pause for about 2 months because I was stuck in my fitness journey. I wanted to grow but I was getting slow results and at times I wasn’t getting any at all – I looked the same and weighed the same. I continued to move forward with my journey and changed up my routine and my diet. Because of that I finally broke out of my plateau and accomplish a goal of mine; I put on 10lbs of body mass in 4 weeks. My new goal is going to be the same but this time I plan on putting another 10lbs of body mass by the end of this year 2013.

Moral of the story, DON’T STOP AND KEEP GOING!

Now for all you viewers out there, don’t stop what you love doing and continue to strive on! You will notice how far you’ve come through your progress. Just remember, don’t give up no matter what.

Emotion is created by motion

When people ask me how do I get such a great physique, the first thing I tell them is that I’ve mastered my emotions. Once I tell my peers that, they look at me like I’m from another world. Lol. A few months ago I attended Tony Robbin’s 2013 UPW (Unleash the Power Within) seminar in LA and I remember one part of his speech, he said, “Emotion is created by motion.” This stuck out to me because I can relate to this through my past experience (check out my previous post about “Why I Started Bodybuilding”). The anger and rage was my motive and I released them at my gym. Once I’ve mastered my emotions, I felt unstoppable, in addition, my strength physically and mentally kept growing.

For those who are giving up to quickly when it comes to working out; first things first, master your emotions and then you will master your motions.

Working out is a Win-Win

Image

A couple of days ago when I was working in retail, I had a co-worker asked me, “Why do I like to workout so much?” Simple, working out is a win-win benefit to our body. I mean would you want to live longer, healthier, and happier? Of course there can be some flaws when it comes to working out, such as, injuries if you perform your physical movement incorrectly, however, that can be fix if you keep practicing with correct form. Anyways, It’s common sense here; it’s not rocket science, there are so many positive benefits that trumps the negatives.

Food for thought, check out this article from Harvard School of Public Health: http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/staying-active-full-story/

If you still don’t understand how great working out can be, see it for yourself; give yourself three weeks of exercise (3 to 5 days a week) alone and I guarantee you that this will change your mind or even better – your life. Make your life matter, because each repetitions/sets you do in your workout will give you the best highs in life, and all you need to do is exercise for it.

And as always, train hard and stay sexy my friends! 🙂

Stay in the present

Always stay in the present and focus what needs to be done in the moment of your life.

And what ever you do… DON’T GIVE UP!

Why I started bodybuilding

A common question I get from my peers is, “Why did you start working out?” or “Why did you start bodybuilding?” And my answer to that is rage. When I was young, I endured many horrible situations and life threatening events, such as, bullying  (in elementary school to highschool), almost getting jumped by a group of thugs (no joke), bad family relationship, and being picked on because of my tiny frame; I hated every minute of those moment, it’s a bad place to be in. However, those moments gave me a breakthrough where enough is enough. I was tired of being weak and being pushed around; I simply couldn’t take care of myself during that time. Each day my emotions were being filled with frustration and anger. I wanted to change but I found out what I needed most was transformation – and that’s where my journey in bodybuilding began.

Image (This is how I feel when I’m getting ready for the next set of my workout lol)

Long story short, by the time I started seeing my results, everyone that picked on me back in the day respected me the most. Do you ever get that feeling when you start seeing great results and everyone you knew saw your transformation? It’s such an amazing feeling – I love that kind of high; it’s my type of drug addiction. However, my past will always haunt me forever; every session at the gym I always try to get rid of the hatred that’s shackling me – this is what keeps me moving forward because I’m always pushing my limits. In the end, my story is still being written til this day. For those who are reading this, thanks for listening. I know each one of you have a story to share about why you decided to exercise/workout.

Tell me your story, what were your reason to workout? why did you choose bodybuilding? Or what what was your breakthrough? I would love to hear them from you 🙂

Train hard and stay sexy!

A couple of days ago when I was at the gym working out, I had a small breakthrough and realized that everyone here at the gym had similar goals; and it’s to aim for their desire body and health. There are so many people training their butt off to make a great change in their life and there are many people that gives up too quickly and easily. For those who are giving up, give yourself a second chance and trust me on this, you DO have a sexy body underneath that body fat. Honestly, I BELIEVE that EVERY single individual on this planet we live on have a sexy body, you just haven’t unlock it’s full potential yet. This is why I like to say, “train hard and stay sexy” because underneath that meaning, everyone got a fucking sexy body if they work for it, I mean EVERYONE! I don’t care about what background, skin color, race or where you came from – you have a sexy body that needs to be awaken. There is no miracle pill that will automatically gives you an aesthetic body instantly, it’s called HARD WORK! Deep down, if you work hard for it, then you will discover your true body. I’m being straight forward here; this is something I’m not saying just to make you feel all giggly and jolly, this is the TRUTH. Not only you’ll look great and sexy, there are many positive benefits that you can achieve from exercising such as, crafting your confidence, willpower, mind, strength, body, appearance, health, and many more! The list goes on, in addition, this will change your life for the better no doubt about it. People will admire you, they will respect you, you will become a role model/inspiration towards them, you will be happier than ever in the life you live in. You can’t argue with great results.

For those who stopped exercising, here’s a video on YouTube that helped me get my ass to the gym: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CRVjMQuOaM

Once you build that momentum, don’t lose it. Train hard and stay sexy because once you achieve your desired body, you can’t argue with your great results. 🙂

I’ve been using this supplement for about 3 years and I got to say this is one hell of a protein shake. I mainly use this supplement in my bulking phase. If I don’t reach my macros through food, then at the end of the day I would replace them anytime with this protein shake. It’s high in carbohydrates, proteins, and calories making me putting on some extra weight. I’m a hard gainer; my metabolism runs fast, so this protein shake really helped me tremendously over the past years. The mixture of this supplement does not blend perfectly, however, it can be fix. There will be chunks when you blend this supplement which is displeasing, to fix that, what I like to do is add a small amount of hot water into the powder, mix it until all chunks are broken down, and then I add my favorite beverage mixing the two together. As for flavors, they are pretty good. My favorite flavors are chocolate and cookies-n-cream, they are tasty and easy for me to consume. Price range is not too bad, there are a lot of supplements out there selling for high prices. For a price of $48 for a 6lb tub of protein, It’s good and it’s not too shabby.

Here are my dislikes for this supplement:
I knocked 1 point off because this supplement makes me feel really bloated and I don’t like that feeling. For example, after a workout I would take this supplement right away and a couple of minutes later; I would feel super full as if I ate 2 whole bowls of food in one sitting. Another reason why I knock 1 point off is because I’m getting horrible expulsion of intestinal gas (really bad farts) that makes me rush to the bathroom for a number 2 (if you know what I mean lol). However, this protein shake really helps me put on the extra weight when I’m bulking. Thus, I will continue to use this supplement in the long run.

That’s it for today! Stay tune for more blogs as I will discuss about other supplements I have tried.

If you have any questions about this supplement and you’re curious about it, feel free to comment or message me through my email and I will answer them as accurate as possible from my own experience.
